A physiological adaptation for a black tip reef shark is the slime that is made over the predators skin, this helps it move more freely in the water, the digestive system is shorter, and has a spiral valve that help gain nutrients from the food, the Sharks thermoregularion is the same as its surrounding environment and let's it keep a stable hemostasis in the water with its temperature. As well as this the shark has a liver that is 30% its body mass, and this helps keeping it afloat. A fish however may not have these sort of traits, a fish has a normal digestive system but has some similar traits too, it also has a slime over its body, air cylinders to keep it a float, adapting to its cold enviroment and no claspers for mating, this means they release their sperm in the water for females to get.
